On 3 october my exhibition in Nuremberg will start with a vernissage .. 

On 30. April 2014 I met FAA watercolorist Thomas Habermann and his wonderful wife in the "Gallery of the unknown artist" in Fürth. I don´t have to emphasize that I am top fan of his wonderful paintings .. 

Well, .. long since I worked with my computer to enhance my paintings,..called them watercolour plus,..or brush and pc,..or chalk on slate... But for me it is very important,..that the major part of the whole work is done analogically, that means by... 

For a long time I experimented with digital processings to alter or enhance some work of mine. One possibility is negative processing, e.g. putting white into black and reversely. So you imitate with your drawing as if you had drawn with chalk on sla... 

I think more than fifty ghests were present on 23.10.2013 at the closing event of my exhibition. But the most important and the most delightful was to meet old friends and collegues again...

The exhibition in Fuerth has begun! 

Longtime I was kind of pregnant with this new idea,..it was in my head and in my heart,..so I only had to write it down and illustrate it..This part proofed to be more difficult,..so I first painted a sketch, no real painting, but in this sketch I s... 

Well surely I am online since some time,..have my own webside here on FAA respectively artistwebsites.com. But now I have my own website after my fancy, in my mother tongue, so many of my friends here and my painting collegues of our watercolour co... 

...sometimes everything seams bad, or to be questioned or scrutinized... but we should,...especially I should...see the positive things too... ..six months ago, I had not imagined to come into contact with so many highly talented and perfectly paint... 

Its not very long time that I was debating with a female artist, who told me that I would paint very beautifully, but there would be no message, nothing special, and that would be the reason that I could not exhibit my paintings in the gallery, the ... 

My last comment which I recieved from Manuel, my old master of watercolour on my painting "Berlin, watching the ships go by" sounded like this: Well,..Alfred,..your painting is O.K., much better than the last few ones...!" Mostly Manuel and I agr... 

..I confess, the question is very provocative...knowbody that I know would be willing to destroy her or his artwork,... really nobody!!! Our art is much more than the sum of the component parts, we need to create it, much more than colour, paper,... 

When we look at the boat or at the train, you may perhaps overview, where the journey may go to. When you look at the river below, you may know the town, where the river may merge in the sea...But perhaps you dont know, whether to enter the train or ... 

Well,..many of us, who are posting their art-work here on FAA are painting,..O.K. many are taking photographs, many of which are digitally remastered, why are we doing this? Of course there are many possibilities, let us see.. ...to earn money, tha... 

From 21. November - 20 Dezember 2013 I will show many of my watercolour paintings in Fürth, public library. 

From 23.09. - 24.10.2013 I will exhibit watercolour paintings in Fuerth, Adult Education Centre. The prospective title of the exhibition will be: City, country, riverside - people. The first 3 terms of the title remind of a wellknown childrens pla... 

When I finished my painting "Nuremberg City Hall Backyard" I was quite content with the result. But when I posted a digitally remastered "pop-version" of the painting, (see on the left side) I had the feeling, that I can do better, that I had not exh...

Every year a big newspaper of Nuremberg and North of Bavaria is organizing a contest for artists.Every year almost one thousand artist join this contest, for the prizes of the winners are extremely valuable. But also the 60 or 70 chosen artists are a... 

Since 17. December 2012 an art exhibition is in process in the clinic center Nürnberg-South with paintings and other exhibits from staff of the clinic center . I am showing five of my recent paintings. The exhibition will end mid of february.
